    Dr. Terraneo is an associate professor at the Department of Chemistry, Materials, and Chemical Engineering "Giulio Natta", where he focuses on crystallography.
    All the structural work on small molecules and proteins described in this project will be supervised by Dr. Terraneo.

    Dr. Cavallo is a young assistant professor at the Department of Chemistry, Materials, and Chemical Engineering "Giulio Natta", where she focuses on organic synthesis and characterization of functional materials.
    Dr. Cavallo will supervise all the synthetic work described in this project, as well as immobilization of materials on surfaces and related characterization.

    Dr. Lascialfari as a post-doc is in charge of the synthesis of unnatural aminoacids containing halogen-bond donor groups and its effect on peptide self-assembly.

    Dr. Tirotta as a post-doc is in charge of self-assembly studies on peptide-protein conjugates.

    Dr. Gori as a post-doc is in charge of the synthesis and purification of peptides incorporating halogen-containing aminoacids.

    A.P. is a PhD student in charge of fibrillation and self-assembly studies on peptides incorporating halogen-containing aminoacids.

    Dr. Pigliacelli is in charge of self-assembly studies of peptide-nanoparticle conjugates, and in general will take care of all the high-resolution microscopy needed by the project.




 

VTT Team

  • Foto Nevanen

    Dr. Nevanen is leader of the team "Molecular Diagnostics" at VTT. She will be in charge of coordinating all the activities regarding expression and purification of antibody Fab fragments from recombinant sources and in vitro and ex-vivo competitive binding assays.
